• Provide in-person sign language interpretive services of both sign to voice and voice to sign utilizing Signed English (SE) and/or American Sign Language (ASL).
• Accurately interpreting spoken work situations, such as conversations, training/ in-services, shift reports, and meetings, in a professional manner.
• Working with associates and supervisors within the community to facilitate effective communication with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
• Collaborating with other ASL interpreters.
• Respects and protects the privacy and confidentiality of resident information at all times.
• Attends all mandatory Inservice training meetings as posted.
• Participates in fire and disaster drills.
• Performs other related or similar duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience that involved transliterating and interpreting through ASL is required.
• Certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is preferred.
